They first met as Jessica was making her cross-country move out to Denver, Colorado in April of 2001. Jess made a pit stop in Scottsdale as her friend(and road trip companion) Angela wanted to visit Chris for a few days. Jim was Chris' roommate at the time and met Jess as a result. They continued to speak over the phone while Jess lived in Colorado and each made frequent weekend visits. Six months later, Jess moved to Scottsdale. I mean, you can't really blame her, right?
Jess grew up in Trumbull, Connecticut as the youngest of 3 children. She graduated Georgetown University in 1998, with a Bachelor Degree in Nursing and currently works in the Intensive Care Unit at Phoenix Children's Hospital. As she's a glutton for punishment, Jess will return to school in the Fall to begin her master's program in Nurse Practitioning.
Jim spent his formative years in Rising Sun, Maryland. He finished high school in Boston and graduated James Madison University in Virginia in 1994. After 6 great years in DC, he put the dog(Winston) in the back and moved out to Phoenix in 2000 to escape to warmer climes and has loved every minute of it.
After 2 wonderful years of being together, Jim arranged a surprise weekend at a resort North of Scottsdale. He and Winston drove up first to check in and get everything ready. Dressed in a tuxedo and holding roses, Jim took a knee and asked the girl of his dreams for her hand. She accepted and their lives together began at that moment...
